Joost pronounced - 'juiced' is an effort from the makers of skype to bring the TV to the web.The project which earlier was called 'The venice Project' is renamed to 'Joost' to let more users test the service.The Pro being the much TV-like experience and the con being it needs a high speed broadband connection to truly experience the service.According to the words of Joost website
Joost™ is a new way of watching TV on the internet, which uses new and established technologies to provide the best of both the internet and TV worlds. We're in the process of making it as TV-like as we can, with programmes, channels and adverts.
