BIG 92.7 FM enters non Metros

If you have a Radio box at home, you have a status.Owning a Television/Tape Recorder set means you are considered to be one of the rich persons in your village/town.Slowly the Radios and Tape recorders lost its place.Hundreds of channels are being aired in the TVs now.CD Players,DVD players even DTH services have entered Aam Admi's house. Thanks to the technology, piracy and improved lifestyle. In this scenario Radios have almost lost its presence and were about to extent.Suddenly a the journey of Radio took a full U turn.More people are showing interest for the Radios,FM channels are mushrooming all over the country,Companies with deep pockets like Star,Reliance are betting big on this medium.
Why is this sudden change? The following are the reasons I could think of...Increasing number of jobs being created in the Metros,People are becoming ever busy and they little or no time to sit before TVs for entertainment,Peolpe are spending more time in Journeys/Traffic,Mobile phones with FM etc etc.,What ever may be the reason the FM channels now a days are truly entertaining the audience like never before...
After the success in metros, FM channels are entering Tier II and Tier III cities also.As part of it Reliance BIG FM 92.7 has started its operations from Tiruapthi,Amritsar, Patiala and Udaipur.BIG 92.7 FM has formally launched its Tirupathi service from 17th August. It will cover suuroundings of the the temple town with in 40 km radius.
