Yubnub : Online Command Prompt
Google suggest is an addon to Google search engine that offer you suggestions as you type in the search box.Its URL is "http://www.google.com/webhp?complete=1&hl=en". It is not that easy to remember it.Right.But it is quite a good link worth remembering. What I do normally is either bookMark it or just google it.
Yubnub Here comes a handy online service YubNub , with a tagline "a social command line for the web " ,that lets you create a short online command with which you can access the URL from anywhere.The short command for the above URL is "GSuggest".Now all you need to do is just type gsuggest in the yubnub box to go to access the service.Cool Na.
It comes with frequently accessed commands like y for yahoo , g for google etc.. and the database is growing.The service also lets you create your commands for your sites.
But do we always need to go to yubnub site to fastpath the command.No,yubnub contains cool plugins and several addons for your search engines ,Browsers etc ,with which you can fast path the commands quickly.
Cons of this service is you can create as many commands as you want for a single URL.It doesnt restrict you,which should not be the case.(Leads to misuse of the service).
second con obviously is the time factor,because ,if you type 'y' ,first it will go to yubnub server , match it to yahoo and then it will ping the Yahoo server before displaying the front page on your browser.One catch is do not go for this service for simple URLs.
