The biggest sporting event of the year 2007 is going to start in another 50 odd days in the Caribbean islands.Despite the initial doubt in the air about the West Indies' capability in conducting the sporting event of this kind,it seems be everything is going on smoothly and the country has geared up with12 stadia in 9 venues.Some Statistics of the Current World Cup

The event will start with 16 warm up matches on Mon 05 Mar.
The Opening Ceremony is on Sun 11 Mar.The actual contest wll start with Host competing with Pakistan on Tue 13 Mar and will close on Sat 28 Apr at Barbados.
