Oracle and Satyam have come to an understanding over the JDEdwards ERP product line EnterpriseOne.Two highlights of the deal include:1]Satyam will be a reseller for JD Edwards applications in India,Middle East,APAC and Europe.
2]Satyam will be creating focused industry solutions for the industries verticals like retail, Construction, Industrial manufacturing and real estate.
With the retail,real estate and construction industries booming all over ,customization of the ERP suite for this sectors will make the customers job easy. So this can be considered as a welcome move.With the recent India Localisation of the ERP suite and the current focused industry solutions move, it seems Oracle is aiming big in India over this mid range product.
